Explore what Everything-as-a-Service means for modern businesses and how it can reshape operations, customer value, and recurring revenue.
What do we mean by everything as a service?
Service actually starts at the point where the prospective customer even chooses to engage with our organisation, whether they’re interested in what we’ve got to offer, and continues all the way through to hopefully buying what we’ve got to offer, using it, consuming it, developing it, and having an ongoing relationship with us.
So, it’s about supporting the customer through every part of their journey with us.
Service, in the context of business and economics, is a transaction in which no physical goods are exchanged. It’s intangible, but the consumer doesn’t receive anything physical; instead, they get the value out of using whatever it is.
We’ve always talked from an ITIL perspective as well, with service being the delivery of value without having to own the asset and all the risks that come along with it.
